As I am only 33 days (yes, 33!!) away from leaving America to go to Africa, I have been trying to prepare myself for the next couple months. I know that they are going to be completely unpredictable and crazy, but that God will be with me the ENTIRE time. The following line from the song "10,000 Reasons" has been something I have been thinking and praying about over the past few weeks:
Whatever may pass and whatever lies before me
Let me be singing when the evening comes
I know that my time in Kenya will not always be easy and full of rainbows and flowers, but whatever comes my way, my prayer is that I will continue to find my strength in God and will continue to praise Him in everything. My faith will be stretched and challenged, but I am looking forward to what God will do in my life!
